The Junior Travel Ambassadors (JTA) scheme is a programme that is designed for primary school pupils to take the lead in promoting safe, active and independent travel within their school communities.
It's a fun and engaging way to spread important messages and build skills for life. For more information please click here.
Not only are the Junior Travel Ambassadors supported by a School Guide (who is a member of staff from our school), but also officers from the Road Safety Unit and Transport for London (TfL).
At St. John’s we select 3 JTAs from Year 6 at the start of the new academic year. These JTAs encourage the children to adopt 'Smart Moving' modes of travel such as walking, using their scooters and/or taking public transport.
Badges are awarded to 'Smart Movers' each month.
